Books that I’ve read more than once
Jane Eyre , Gone With The Wind, The Prince of Tides, Lonesome Dove, Atlas Shrugged, The Long Goodbye, Fountainhead, Désirée (old and hard to come by – it’s about Napoleon Bonaparte), The Eight, Collected Poems of Edna St. Vincent Millay. In addition to these authors I like Marion Keyes, Cathy Lamb (new discovery). I recently discovered Stephen King – WOW—he is gifted writer with a love of language that inspires me. After reading his memoir on writing, I stopped worrying so much about ‘the type’ of writer I should be and wrote from my heart. I read all the time, and will read just about anything. I prefer fiction because it is my preferred writing genre but I read memoirs as well. I read Kitchen Confidential twice as well—funny, a talented writer. I am a mood reader. Some people eat chocolate when they need a fix, I will reach for a book and pour myself a glass of wine and settle into the world the writer has created for me.
